Things You Need to Know About Singapore Personalized Employment Pass

Many investors and entrepreneurs have been attracted to Singapore's strong economy. It is driven by its strategic location as well as a high degree of economic freedom. There are many opportunities for work in many different industries.

Singapore is looking for professionals who are either experts in their fields or have significant years of experience within their respective industries. The Personalised Employment Pass (PEP) was created by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). It is designed to attract these professionals to the city-state.

While the PEP grants many privileges to its holder, it also comes with some constraints. This article will discuss the things you should know before applying for the PEP.

What are the advantages of a PEP and what can they do for you?

The PEP holders can work as employees in any industry. Certain professions such as security officers, doctors, and dentists are not eligible for the PEP. Before applying, you will need permission.

The PEP provides its holders the flexibility to work or change jobs without needing to apply for a new pass. You can use the PEP Notification form to notify the Ministry of Manpower.

The PEP holders can also remain unemployed for up to six consecutive months without the need to apply for another employment pass or leave the country. This will allow you to live and work in Singapore most easily.

You also get 'dependants privileges', which are only available to P1 Employment Pass holders. You can bring your spouse or children under twenty one years of age. The Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) allows you to bring your parents to Singapore.
