Italian Black Truffle Salt Overview

Italian Black Truffle Salt makes a delicious and unique ingredient in many dishes. Add it to soups, stews, salads, pasta sauces, or desserts to enjoy a Truffle Meal with flavor that will stay in your mouth for a long time. Here are some of my favorite ways to use Italian Black Truffle salt.

Salads. I love dressing up salads with olive oil, garlic, and a touch of black truffle sea salt. This is an easy way to add some zest to a classic salad. You can dress with olive oil, garlic, and sprinkle black truffle salt on top. Add this to any salad and enjoy a long way to an appetizer party.

Dinners. This is another great way to use the seasoning in your cooking. I like to pair black truffle salt with fish or chicken. The rich flavors of the black truffle salt will draw out the natural flavors in fish or chicken and bring out their tenderness. This is a great way to use black truffle salt alongside sea salt or almond salt to enhance the flavor of baked fish or chicken.

Seafood. The season is coming again this summer, so have your sea salt or almond salt ready. Truffle oil is also a great addition to seafood dishes. It's a must-try in seafood dishes that call for truffle-like lobster bisque, filet mignon, shrimp, or salmon truffle. The rich flavors of the truffle will draw out the natural flavors in these meats and make them more enjoyable.

Italian, Black Truffles. The rich flavors of Italian black truffle salt can also be incorporated into your favorite dishes. Try using it on your pasta sauce or vegetable dishes, instead of regular salt, to enhance the flavor.

Chicken. Who doesn't love chicken? If you're one of those health-conscious types who are trying to stay on track with your dietary restrictions, you might want to consider using Italian black truffle salt in your chicken recipes. Because sea salt or regular table salt will most likely leave some texture or flavor, adding the Italian seasoning will add an extra level of taste to your chicken dishes. For example, instead of frying up your chicken in a skillet, sear it briefly on all sides to give it a crispy texture.

Meatballs. Another great use for Italian black truffle salt is in your meatballs. You'll never go wrong with meatballs served with a fresh tossed salad, accompanied by a drizzle of olive oil and some Italian bread. There are no other herbs or seasonings that come close to the taste of the sea salt itself. If you are not fond of meatballs, try cooking them on a stovetop with sage or another Italian herb.

Salads. The classic Italian herb, basil, comes in so many wonderful flavors that it's practically impossible to name them all. But for now, just remember the classic Italian summer salad: Salami, tomatoes, lettuce, zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, olives, Ricotta cheese, and of course black truffle salt. You can use Italian black truffle salt on top of the eggs to enhance their flavor or sprinkle them liberally on top of the vegetables. Your salads are sure to be the talk of the town!

Spices. Like many of the other ingredients mentioned above, the Italian black truffle salt also has a few different forms. Most common is the baguette style spice mix, which is very flavorful and goes great as a sandwich ingredient. There is also the more common Italian herb mixture which includes Rosemary, oregano, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, rose petal, basil, and lemon juice.

Seafood. If sea salt isn't your thing, don't fear because the salt used for Italian black truffles actually comes from seaweed. This ingredient, known as black truffle salt, provides an array of salty aromas including seaweed, which is the reason that this type of salt is sometimes referred to as "sea salt". This form of this salt is used mostly for seasoning, however, it can also be added to tomato sauces to give them a unique flavor.

Herb. This form of salt is very similar to sea salt and is usually prepared by roasting herbs to bring out their wonderful flavors. Some of the most common herbs that are included in this type of salt include basil, cardamom, coriander, sage, oregano, savory, and thyme. These ingredients not only add savor to the Italian black summer truffles, but they also provide a unique texture that cannot be found with other forms of sea salt.
